Lovingly restored into self catering holiday cottages under architect supervision maintaining the character and original features. All works are of the highest standard and quality furnishings ensure first class accommodation with a new,solar heated 11m x 5.5m pool open from May to October. The pool has an alarm and is fenced for safety, there are also sun loungers around the pool for relaxing and tanning.  The private entrance driveway, of about 150 metres is flanked by 106 poplar trees, is an impressive sight on arrival. The grounds are surrounded by cornfields and an old cider apple orchard at the entrance. The front lawns and the rear grassed area under the old oak tree are ideal for barbecues and picnics. There is also a boule court, children's swings, badminton, volley ball, swingball,trampoline, and table tennis. Surrounding the granite mill in the central courtyard is the Manor House and the converted barns.
The location of La Poutelais self catering cottages/gites makes it an ideal French holiday destination, giving easy access to Dinan, Mt St Michel, Dinard, and Combourg, all very popular tourist attractions in Brittany. Rennes (TGV to Paris and Euro Disney)is 20 minutes away, with its beautiful city of timber framed buildings and large shopping centres. Each of our gites has its own garden furniture and BBQ, new for this year due to demand we are constructing a communal BBQ area where all the families can BBQ together near the pool and discuss the days events and swap ideas over a glass of wine. Cots and highchairs are available, we also supply bedding and bed linen free of charge. |
